The SW-Motech Legend Gear LR4 tail bag combines timeless styling with practical functionality for riders who need flexible luggage capacity in a compact format. Thanks to the expandable design, the bag increases from 18 to 25 litres, making it suitable for daily commuting, day rides and multi-day motorcycle trips.
Constructed from durable Eco-Tech polyester with a UV-resistant and water-repellent PU coating, the LR4 is designed for long-term use in varying riding conditions. The slightly curved underside and dimensionally stable construction provide a secure fit on a wide range of motorcycles, including naked bikes, touring models and adventure bikes. The non-slip base adds extra stability while riding.
The overlapping lid gives quick access to your gear and features integrated mesh compartments for smaller essentials. Waterproof construction
Bags labeled as waterproof are generally made from materials that don't allow water to pass through, such as heavily coated textiles or tarpaulin-like fabrics. In addition, seams are often welded or sealed to minimize water penetration. This construction ensures that rain and splashing water stays out effectively, even during heavy downpours.
Waterproof inner compartment
For bags with a waterproof compartment, the exterior is usually made from water-repellent or partially water-resistant material. This outer layer may absorb water during prolonged or heavy rain. The main difference lies on the inside: the main compartment is often equipped with a waterproof liner or inner bag that protects your belongings against moisture.
Good to know: Although many types of motorcycle luggage provide excellent protection against rain, no product is completely and indefinitely waterproof.
