The REV'IT! Slate H2O motorcycle gloves redefine the standard when it comes to Urban waterproof, short-cuffed gloves. While graphic design language is subtle, these motorcycle gloves have nice detailing to them. Revit also incorporates the new reflective PWR|Fuse material at the back of the hand and fingers, not only for good looks but for added dimension and texture. The Power Fuse material on the top of the glove not only provides ventilation but is also woven with an extra reflective thread that reflects when light is shone on it and thus ensures good visibility in the dark.
Waterproofing comes via the semi-bonded Hydratex|Z-liner insert, while the 3M™ Thinsulate™ at the back of the hand is there for extra comfort. Make sure that your summer rides in the rain (or cold) don’t affect the performance of your fingers. A suede leather visor wiper along with the Connect Finger Tips at the thumb and index fingers, make the Slate H2O gloves even more user-friendly.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
