Alpinestars Tech-Air MX System

After more than a decade of testing and development with the world’s best motocross riders, Alpinestars introduces the Tech-Air® MX System – a breakthrough in rider protection technology. Compact, lightweight, and fully autonomous, this intelligent system integrates advanced airbag protection directly into a chest protector for unmatched upper body safety.

The Tech-Air MX constantly monitors your movements using built-in sensors and a high-speed processing unit (ECU). When a crash or impact is detected, the airbag inflates in around 40 milliseconds, creating a protective cushion around the chest, back, and shoulders. This inflation drastically reduces impact forces compared to traditional armour, offering up to four times more protection. Wearable over or under MX gear; single gas inflator enables one deployment, easily replaceable where permitted. Certified for up to six deployments if undamaged.

Operation is simple, just close the magnetic buckle and the system automatically arms itself. You can choose from four pre-set riding modes: MX, MX Race, Enduro, and Rally. Each mode fine-tunes the system’s response to match your riding style and terrain. Using the Tech-Air® App, you can configure modes, view system status, check battery levels, and perform firmware updates via Bluetooth. 

The vest is made from breathable stretch-mesh material for comfort and ventilation, while the integrated Nucleon PLASMA back protector adds structural support. With up to 30 hours of battery life and quick USB-C charging, the Tech-Air MX is built to perform in any environment, from motocross tracks to desert rallies.
