The Boxer is designed for those who ride on urban and suburban roads and want a short glove that features top-quality materials to handle the rain and bad weather, essentially in moderate temperatures because the Boxer is deliberately designed without thermal insulation. Featuring a weatherproof OutDry® membrane laminated directly underneath the outside surface, to keep the water from penetrating inside and soaking into the inner layers of the glove, while allowing perspiration to evaporate. Its topside in water-resistant fabric with stretch for comfort, paired with a full-grain goatskin palm structure, gives the Boxer premium fit and comfort. While it protects from bad weather, it also protects its rider in case of a fall, with its PVC protective shells underneath the fabric, TPR palm slider, cuff protection, and foam reinforcements on the thumb and fingers. The TouchScreen system for using your smartphone or GPS without removing your glove completes the system that allows you to face life in the city with total peace of mind, even in the rain.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
