The Alpinestars WT-5 Drystar motorcycle gloves are purpose-built for adventure and touring riders who continue riding when temperatures drop. Combining premium thermal insulation with waterproof* membrane, these winter motorcycle gloves keep your hands warm, dry and comfortable throughout long rides in cold and wet conditions.
The gloves feature Primaloft® Silver insulation, with 200g on the back of the hand and 60g in the palm. This lightweight insulation delivers excellent warmth without creating unnecessary bulk, allowing you to maintain comfort and control throughout your ride. The integrated Drystar® membrane provides waterproof protection while remaining breathable, helping to prevent moisture build-up inside the gloves.
A soft goat leather palm offers excellent grip, abrasion resistance and a natural feel on the handlebars, while stretch inserts between the fingers improve flexibility and dexterity. The ergonomic cuff with a large closure flap ensures a secure fit and makes the gloves easy to put on, even in cold conditions. E-touch fingertips on the thumb and index finger allow you to operate touchscreen devices without removing the gloves.
Protection is provided by a dual-density TPU knuckle protector, TPR finger reinforcements, aramid reinforcement on the palm landing zone and strategically placed foam padding. Certified to CE Level 1 KP, the WT-5 Drystar® Gloves are an ideal choice for winter adventure and touring motorcyclists.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
