The low-profile laminated backhand construction reduces bulk without compromising durability, making the gloves comfortable for both long-distance touring and technical adventure riding. A soft goat leather palm provides excellent abrasion resistance, grip and feel at the controls, while stretch inserts between the fingers improve dexterity and natural hand movement.
A large cuff closure with an ergonomic opening makes the gloves easy to put on and ensures a secure fit around the wrist. The conductive E-touch fingertips on the thumb and index finger allow you to operate a smartphone or navigation system without removing your gloves.
Protection is provided by a dual-density TPU knuckle protector, TPR finger reinforcements, aramid reinforcement on the palm landing zone and strategically placed foam padding for additional impact absorption. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
