The regular straight fit offers a natural feel both on and off the bike, while the ergonomic knee construction and seamless crotch panel improve freedom of movement and reduce pressure during longer journeys.
Practical details enhance day-to-day usability. Zipped front pockets and secure rear pockets provide convenient storage for small essentials, and the long leg openings fit comfortably over a variety of motorcycle boots.
When it comes to protection, the C-1 WP pants is equipped with Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Pro Level 2 knee protectors as standard. The adjustable knee protector system allows you to fine-tune the position for the right fit and coverage, while the trousers are also prepared for optional Bioflex hip protectors. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
