The TCX S-TR1 Waterproof motorcycle boots are designed to protect the foot, foot joint and shin, and additionally feature an integrated T-DRY waterproof* membrane that comes in handy during rainy weather.
Protection is guaranteed by a front rigid shield in TPU that operates in synergy with the soft lower padding. The TCS® (Torsion Control System), a joint specially designed to accompany the ankle as it moves through its optimal range of action, guides the movement of the foot joint, thus avoiding the risk of unwelcome twisting, hyper-extension and hyperflexion.
The Groundtrax® sole boasts a specially designed tread that ensures perfect grip on the motorcycle’s controls as well as on asphalt, in all weather conditions.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
