The Richa Buster 2 WP motorcycle jacket is a durable 2-layer touring and commuting jacket built for riders who prioritise reliable protection, comfort, and adaptability in changing weather conditions. Made from a robust Cordura polyester outer shell, it delivers strong abrasion resistance while remaining flexible enough for everyday use.
A key advantage of this 2-layer construction is the combination of the Aquashell LTZ waterproof membrane* with a removable thermal liner, allowing you to tailor the jacket to any season. Whether you are riding in rain, cold, or mild temperatures, the Buster provides dependable performance. For warmer days, the ACS ventilation system ensures controlled airflow to maintain comfort throughout your ride.
Rider safety is addressed with CE Level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors, as well as preparation for optional chest and back protector inserts. The jacket is fully CE Certified A (EN17092-4:2020). Comfort is further enhanced through adjustable waist straps, while the neoprene finish at the cuffs and hem provides a softer feel and reduces irritation. This jacket includes a D3O Central Level 1 back protector. You can upgrade your protection to a back protector that covers a wider range of your back. Choose a Level 1 or Level 2 back protector. Level 2 has a higher impact value than Level 1.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
