Waterproof membrane*, D3O protection and all-season comfort. AA-certified touring trousers for every rider.
The Richa Colorado 3 motorcycle trousers deliver dependable performance for riders who demand durability, weather protection and comfort across every season. Built from a high-abrasion-resistant Ripstop outer shell combined with softshell and polyester panels, these trousers offer a tough yet flexible construction suited for both urban riding and long-distance touring.
A key advantage is the integrated Richa LTZ fixed waterproof membrane, ensuring reliable rain protection without adding bulk. When temperatures rise, the Richa ACS system provides large, zip-operated ventilation panels for controlled airflow, keeping the ride cool and comfortable. For colder days, a removable thermal liner offers the insulation needed for early-morning commutes or winter touring.
In terms of protection, the Colorado 3 is equipped with Level 2 D3O knee protectors and Level 1 D3O hip protectors, both upgradeable to Level 2 for maximum impact performance. The trousers meet AA certification (EN17092-3:2020), making them a solid choice for riders who prioritise safety.
Comfort-focused details include a breathable mesh inner lining, adjustable waist straps for a personalised fit, and a Richa connection zipper for secure pairing with compatible jackets. Practicality is further enhanced with two large outer pockets and reflective elements for improved visibility during night rides.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
