The CE-certified and waterproof* Revit Blackwater smock is a fresh face in the realm of off-roading and a member of the DIRT Series collection. With a design inspired by the outdoor world, it offers increased freedom of movement thanks to the functional active fit and the absence of a front zipper. The PWR|Shell stretch ripstop fabric outer shell, alongside the CORDURA® ripstop fabric at the lower arms, allows for a high level of abrasion resistance.
Furthermore, the open-structured SEESMART™ CE-level 1 protectors found at the shoulders & elbows provide the rider’s necessary protection. These protectors can be easily removed if you want to *upgrade their protection by using our body-hugging Proteus protector motorcycle jacket (with CE-level 1 & 2 protectors). Stay cool in the warm by opening the ventilation zippers at the upper arm & back. The hood will keep the rider dry when off the bike and can easily be stored in the back pocket when not in use.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
