That’s why we’ve used softshell fabric for the back of glove, to assures flexible comfort, while the goat leather palm and fingers make sure you have loads of grip and handlebar feel. Even in seriously cold conditions. There’s protective cushioning integrated, with Temperfoam® at the palm as well as additional foam elements along the finger knuckles. Strategically positioned reflective elements add low-light visibility and a wrist strap and elastic cinch at the cuff will help secure fit and keep out drafts and keep in the Freedom 2 H2O gloves’ heat. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
