The Macna Vitain RTX gloves are designed for riders who want lightweight comfort and dependable protection during mild or wet-weather rides. Built with a mix of durable goat leather at the palm and flexible spandex on the upper hand, they offer a balanced blend of control, comfort and freedom of movement. Touchscreen-friendly Touch Tip fabric on the index finger allows you to operate your phone or navigation without removing your gloves.
A Raintex waterproof* membrane keeps your hands dry during changing weather, making the Vitain RTX a strong choice for commuting, touring and urban riding. For impact protection, Macna equips the gloves with RISC™ 3D temper-foam knuckle protection, engineered to absorb and distribute forces without adding bulk.
At the palm, a TPR protector enhances abrasion resistance and doubles as a practical slider. This improves safety while maintaining a natural feel on the grips. Comfort is further boosted by Macna’s Ergothumb™ construction, which uses one single panel for the thumb and index finger. This reduces seams, pressure points and fatigue.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
