The Ixon Pro Ragnar are waterproof winter gloves with fleece lining and knuckle protection. Cordura and ripstop on the back of the hand combined with a goat leather palm for better grip and abrasion resistance. Primaloft insulation keeps you warm on colder days while the TPU knuckle shell protects at impact. The Pro Ragnar feature a long cuff with double strap for a good and comfortable fit, and with an extra inner cuff with rainproof Tanka fastener for better weatherproofing. The touchscreen compatible index finger and rain wiper on the left index are added for extra easy during your ride.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
