The Alpinestars Zaca WP V2 motorcycle jacket combines sporty styling with practical all-weather performance. Constructed from durable 600D poly-fabric with strategically placed stretch softshell panels, it offers an excellent balance of abrasion resistance, flexibility and everyday comfort. The pre-curved sleeves and ergonomic sports fit allow natural movement both on and off the bike, while the extended rear provides extra coverage in the riding position.
A fixed waterproof membrane* keeps rain out, and the removable thermal liner makes it easy to adapt the jacket to changing temperatures. The low-profile collar with soft lining, refined wrist construction and clean, understated finish further enhance long-distance comfort.
For protection, the Zaca WP V2 comes equipped with CE Level 1 Alpinestars Nucleon Flex Plus shoulder and elbow protectors, complemented by dual-density DFS ST shoulder sliders for additional impact and abrasion performance. The jacket is fully CE AA certified and Tech-Air® Ready, with space to add optional chest and back protectors.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
Choose a Level 1 or Level 2 back protector. Level 2 has a higher impact value than Level 1.
