Description

The Kriega OS-38 Soft Pannier has all the same design features as the best selling OS-32 with an additional 6 litres of capacity and a 40mm wider profile. Designed to pair up with an OS-32 or OS-22 for bikes with off-centre pannier frames or to be used as a pair of OS-38 for the maximum carrying capacity.

The Kriega OS-38 Soft Pannier shares many of the features of traditional ADV hard luggage with the added benefits of durability and safety for riding in demanding environments where there will be the inevitable scrape with the terrain. Constructed from the highest quality materials including ultra-abrasion resistant Hypalon + 1000D Cordura®, heavy-duty webbing and aircraft grade alloy buckles. The structured box shape allows for effortless packing and load control. The waterproof roll-top closure and removable white liner guarantee pack contents remain protected from rainfall an splashes.

Please note! The OS-38 requires pannier frames to be fitted to the bike.

Once fitted there are 2 options to fit the OS-38
1. Traditional ‘over the seat’ saddlebag format, using OS-Straps
2. Fixing a specially designed OS-Platform to the frame and mounting the OS-38 to the platform.

How waterproof is this bag?

Waterproof Motorcycle Luggage

Bags labeled as waterproof are generally made from materials that don't allow water to pass through, such as heavily coated textiles or tarpaulin-like fabrics. In addition, seams are often welded or sealed to minimize water penetration. This construction ensures that rain and splashing water stays out effectively, even during heavy downpours.

For bags with a waterproof compartment, the exterior is usually made from water-repellent or partially water-resistant material. This outer layer may absorb water during prolonged or heavy rain. The main difference lies on the inside: the main compartment is often equipped with a waterproof liner or inner bag that protects your belongings against moisture.

In short: although many types of motorcycle luggage provide excellent protection against rain, no product is completely and indefinitely waterproof.
