The Dainese Smart Air is the latest evolution of Dainese’s renowned airbag technology, developed for riders who want maximum protection without sacrificing comfort, freedom of movement or versatility. Thanks to its minimalist and ergonomic design, the Smart Air can easily be worn over or under virtually any motorcycle jacket.

The integrated D-air® airbag system protects both the chest and back with Level 2 certified protection, while remaining exceptionally lightweight and breathable. The advanced airbag construction uses high-quality microfilament technology to create a stable protective cushion during deployment, reducing unnecessary deformation upon impact.

New for this updated generation are the dedicated OFFROAD mode for adventure and technical off-road riding, as well as EV Mode, which keeps the system armed even on electric motorcycles and low-vibration scooters. This makes the Smart Air suitable for an even wider range of riding styles and motorcycles.

The Smart Air is equipped with a new electronic management system that improves efficiency and extends battery life up to 18 hours per charge. Updated LED indicators also make it faster and easier to check the system status at a glance.

The intelligent D-air® system is designed to recognize different crash scenarios including frontal impacts, highsides and lowsides. The advanced electronic system continuously analyzes rider movement through sensors, gyroscopes and accelerometers to detect dangerous situations within milliseconds. Technology developed through more than 30 years of D-air® research and MotoGP™ experience.

Another major advantage is the triple deployment capability. After activation, the gas generator can be independently replaced by the rider, allowing the system to be reset quickly and easily without replacing the entire vest. Through the updated Dainese D-air® app, riders can monitor battery status, switch riding modes, perform software updates and manage the system directly from their smartphone.
