The Alpinestars Maxdura Drystar®XF motorcycle trousers are built for riders who refuse to let weather or terrain dictate their adventure. Designed for demanding dual-sport and adventure riding, these premium motorcycle trousers combine outstanding durability with excellent freedom of movement, making them ideal for both challenging off-road trails and long-distance touring.
The advanced 3-layer laminated Drystar®XF stretch construction delivers waterproof* protection without compromising breathability. Unlike traditional removable rain liners, the waterproof membrane* is laminated directly to the outer shell, preventing water absorption and allowing the trousers to dry quickly after heavy rain. Reinforced ripstop panels at the knees and seat, together with leather inner-knee panels, improve abrasion resistance while providing extra grip when standing on the foot pegs.
Long zippered thigh vents provide direct airflow for effective cooling during warm weather or demanding off-road riding. The regular adventure fit, pre-curved knees and adjustable lower legs ensure lasting comfort, whether you're seated on the motorway or standing through technical terrain. The trousers are also compatible with knee braces when the internal protectors are removed.
For protection, the trousers include removable CE Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus knee protectors and CE Level 1 Bioflex hip protectors. Water-resistant storage pockets, adjustable calf straps and a magnetic waist closure complete these highly capable all-weather adventure motorcycle trousers.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
