The Alpinestars Harok V2 Drystar® Pants are designed for riders looking for maximum versatility, comfort and protection across changing weather conditions and terrain. Developed for adventure touring and off-road riding, these motorcycle trousers combine a durable ripstop outer shell with a modular waterproof* system, making them suitable for year-round exploration.
The robust outer construction offers excellent durability while maintaining flexibility thanks to strategically placed stretch panels. Reinforced high-wear areas, including textured PU reinforcements, a leather knee overlay and rugged Dobby fabric on the inner legs, provide additional resistance during demanding rides.
For changing weather conditions, the removable Drystar® waterproof liner* delivers reliable waterproofing and breathability. Wear it inside the trousers as a wind-blocking layer or remove and store it when conditions improve. When temperatures rise, the large thigh ventilation panels can be opened and tucked away to reveal mesh zones, creating direct airflow for effective cooling.
Comfort is further enhanced by pre-curved ergonomic knees, an adjustable waist belt with magnetic buckle closure and an over-the-boot design with lower-leg zips for a secure fit. Protection comes from removable CE Level 2 Nucleon Flex Pro knee protectors and Bioflex hip protectors, while the waist connection zip allows seamless attachment to compatible Alpinestars ADV jackets.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
