The FQ20 Zaca Air Monster jacket blends a unique combination of 3D mesh with mechanical stretch, 450D polyfabric reinforcements, and stretch softshell inserts. The ideal textile jacket for street and sport riders, the FQ20 Zaca Air Monster jacket is the perfect choice for those riders interested in a warm climate jacket with temperature adaptability to cooler and wet weather conditions. Breathable 3D mesh for premium breathability has been incorporated on the full chest, back and inner arms and has been combined with 450D polyfabric on the outer arms, shoulders and sides for CE rated abrasion resistance.
For excellent levels of range of motion and freedom of movement, the FQ20 Zaca Air has stretch softshell inserts in the pectoral and chest areas, as well as the shoulder blades and around the rider's collar providing for a perfect fitment for the tech-air 5 or tech-air 3 airbag system. When it comes to protection against impacts, the jacket has DFS Lite external shoulder sliders as well as Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 rated armour on the shoulders, elbows, and forearms.
Internally the FQ20 Zaca has a detachable 2L waterproof liner to use when the weather gets cooler as an additional windbreaker, and especially practical if the you get caught in the rain. The detachable hood has an air extraction channel on the top to allow airflow to pass through and not fill up and flap around.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
