The Alpinestars C-1 WP motorcycle jacket combines reliable weather protection with everyday comfort and a refined, contemporary look. Its 450D polyfabric construction offers a practical balance of durability and comfort, while the fixed waterproof membrane helps keep you protected from wet weather. When temperatures change, the detachable 80g thermal vest can be removed quickly, giving you more flexibility in how you wear the jacket.
Protection comes from Level 2 Nucleon Flex Pro shoulder and elbow protectors, providing effective impact protection without compromising flexibility. The jacket is also Tech-Air® Ready and can be upgraded with an Alpinestars back protector insert and one-piece chest protector (sold separately).
A regular fit, ergonomic sleeves and a 3D back pattern support a comfortable riding position, while adjustable wrist closures and a snap fastening help you fine-tune the fit. Welded padding adds extra comfort, and the soft collar finish feels pleasant against the skin. Practical details include an internal waterproof compartment with a dedicated keyless/Telepass pocket. CE-certified to EN 17092-4:2020, Class A, the C-1 WP is a versatile motorcycle jacket for everyday riding across changing weather conditions.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
Choose a Level 1 or Level 2 back protector. Level 2 has a higher impact value than Level 1.
