All-terrain, all-season ADV jacket with laminated Drystar®XF membrane*, CE protection and advanced ventilation for extreme conditions.
The Alpinestars Andes Pro Drystar®XF Jacket is engineered for serious adventure riders who demand year-round performance. Built around a stretch laminated 3-layer Drystar®XF outer shell, this premium adventure motorcycle jacket delivers the durability of a laminated touring jacket with the flexibility of a true ADV chassis.
The laminated Drystar®XF membrane* achieves a 15,000 mm waterproof rating while maintaining 15,000 g/m²/24h breathability. In real terms, this means you stay dry in persistent rain while excess body heat and moisture can escape efficiently. Because the membrane is laminated directly to the outer shell, the jacket absorbs less water and dries faster after heavy downpours.
When temperatures rise, strategically positioned direct ventilation zips and a large airflow front panel significantly increase air circulation. As a result, you maintain better body temperature control during technical off-road sections and long-distance touring alike. For colder conditions, the removable thermal liner (120g body, 80g sleeves) provides reliable insulation without restricting movement.
Protection is equally advanced. CE AA certified, the jacket is equipped with Nucleon Flex Pro CE Level 2 shoulder and elbow protectors. These adaptive protectors exceed standard CE requirements while remaining flexible for improved comfort and natural ergonomics. In addition, the jacket is Tech-Air® ready for integration with Alpinestars’ airbag systems.
The adventure-specific fit offers enhanced freedom of movement both on and off the bike. Sleeve volume adjusters, a lower hem shock cord and a soft comfort collar with wind-sealing design ensure a secure, fatigue-reducing fit. Practicality is completed by four waterproof outer pockets, a waterproof rear compartment and an integrated hydration tube holder.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
