The Alpinestars Belize V2 Drystar® motorcycle boots are built for riders who combine sport touring with serious adventure mileage. Designed as a mid-height alternative to traditional tall touring boots, they deliver the ideal balance between flexibility, protection and all-weather performance.
The upper construction blends PU-coated leather and suede, reinforced with a rubber insert on the medial panel for enhanced grip and precise contact with the bike. A Drystar® waterproof* membrane sits between the outer and lining, keeping water out while allowing moisture vapour to escape. This means dry feet in wet conditions without compromising breathability during longer rides.
Protection is comprehensive. A double-density TPU lateral ankle protector with pivot system delivers structural support while limiting excessive movement. Internal toe box and heel counter reinforcements are layered beneath the upper for impact resistance without added bulk. The injected PU midsole provides effective shock absorption, while a co-injected polypropylene insole with integrated steel shank enhances rigidity and stability on the pegs. The boots are CE-certified to EN 13634:2017 standards.
Comfort and ergonomics receive equal attention. Lightweight microfibre bellows at the front and rear increase flexibility, while strategically placed padding around the ankles, collar and heel improves long-distance comfort. The soft textile collar enhances fit around the calf.
The new lateral ankle closure system features durable polymer buckles with a memory ratchet and quick-release mechanism, ensuring precise adjustment and easy operation. A wide entry opening simplifies access. Finally, the exclusive vulcanised rubber off-road sole offers outstanding grip on and off the bike. Engineered to work seamlessly with adventure and dual-sport footpegs, it provides dependable traction regardless of terrain.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
