    Indirect ventilation options

    Motorcycle clothing with indirect ventilation options provides airflow through openings that can be manually opened or closed. However, these openings do not pass through the waterproof or windproof lining, meaning the airflow does reach your body directly.

    Indirect ventilation options in motorcycle clothing are designed to improve riding comfort without the need for large ventilation panels or open zippers. Instead, these systems use breathable materials, air channels, and moisture-regulating linings that gradually remove heat and sweat. This creates natural airflow inside the clothing, helping to maintain a more balanced body temperature while riding. This type of ventilation is commonly used in touring and all-season motorcycle gear.

    Compared to motorcycle clothing without ventilation, indirect ventilation provides more comfort during long rides and changing temperatures. At the same time, protection against wind, rain, and cold is better maintained than with fully ventilated gear because there are fewer open areas in the clothing. A disadvantage is that indirect ventilation usually provides less cooling during extremely hot weather or slow-moving traffic. For this reason, many riders choose indirect ventilation when looking for a combination of comfort, weather protection, and suitability for multiple seasons.
