Lightweight and waterproof, hooded, off-road adventure smock.
Fully functional aesthetics never looked this good. With a design borrowing heavily from the outdoor scene, the CE-certified motorcycle-ready Blackwater 2 H2O smock from Revit is all about looking purposeful as much as being purposeful. Inherent to the smock jacket concept, you put it on over your head, which is made easy with the addition of a side-entrance zipper. Keeping the front clean, and fully weatherproof. Function-focused, fit for purpose Regardless of the basic, function-focused approach, the Blackwater 2 H2O advances the motorcycle smock jacket concept with laminated, waterproof* hydratex material, beefed-up abrasion resistance with Cordura® ripstop, and PWR|Shell stretch ripstop to secure wearing comfort and stretch.
Ready for pure-blooded adventure Although it’s looks make intentions clear – it’s a pure-blooded off-road adventure jacket – the Blackwater 2 H2O is packed with CE-level 1 Seesmart protective armor at shoulders and elbows, and there’s a pouch ready to add an optional CE-level 2 Seesoft back protector, assuring you’re safe when adventures take you across tarmac. When it’s time for serious off-road adventuring, the Blackwater 2 H2O is designed to be worn over the Rev'it! Proteus protector jacket. Just remember to take the standard shoulder and elbow protectors out first to keep things fitting safely and comfortably.

* A waterproof membrane does not mean unlimited waterproof. The waterproofness depends on the quality of the membrane. Are you looking for 100% waterproof? Then select a motorcycle jacket with GoreTex membrane.

Underneath this garment you can wear the REV'IT! Avertum Tech-Air Airbag, provided you choose this garment one size larger than your regular clothing size. If you want to wear a garment marked ‘Suitable for Avertum Tech-Air Airbag System - one size up’, you need to make sure that the garment has enough room for an inflated airbag. Hence, the recommendations below for optimum fit:
Note: Keep in mind that the garment is bought in the right size so that the shoulder and elbow protectors fit properly and provide maximum protection in an accident. To give room for an inflated airbag, remove any loose layers (thermal lining, waterproof lining) that might impede airbag inflation in an accident. Remove (if present) the loose back protector in your clothing; the airbag comes standard with a back protector. Set all adjustment options at the torso (adjustment straps, adjustment straps) to the widest position.
Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
