And the inner pocket ensures any documents can be stored on the dry side of the waterproof membrane. When it comes to safety, Revit reinforced the polyester canvas on the shoulders and elbows to create an extremely strong and abrasion-resistant product. Furthermore, by incorporating ultra-thin limb protectors, Revit kept the silhouette tailored and sharp. You can even upgrade the protection component of the Bison 2 H2O with an insert back protector. Additionally, with the short connection zipper, you can create a suit from head to toe by attaching it to your REV'IT! jeans using the Safeway belt and help to avoid your back is exposed. To make it versatile as it is, there is installed an adjustable ventilation panel at the centre back to allow the heat to escape on hot-weather days. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
