Textile, multi-season motorcycle jacket with removable thermal and waterproof liners.
Adventure touring means exploring and experiencing new places. It means going where only motorcycles can go – to the most remote and least populous corners of the Earth. That’s why exhaustive R&D by adventure riding experts informs every single one of our REV’IT! designs. The biggest challenge with the Outback 4 H2O was how to improve an archetypal touring jacket. And as you’d expect, it’s the details of this fourth-generation garment that really make the difference.
As well as more freedom to roam provided by detachable thermal and waterproof liners, there’s more freedom of movement thanks to near-limitless adjustability. Elbow armor can be precisely positioned to perfection, plus there are pull tabs on the lower and upper arm. Cuff zippers fit gloves for every season – under or over the outer shell. And with an adjustment drawcord at the hem and straps at the waist, the Outback 4 H2O hugs the body as much as you want it to. Plus, a Flexisnap collar means it’s quick to alter the circumference to fit a wind collar or cool off on even the hottest of rides.
With the Revit Outback 4 H20, SEEFLEX CE-Level 2 protection at the shoulders and elbows comes as standard. This high-spec, adaptable jacket has specific inserts for optional SEESOFT CE-rated protectors on the back and chest and attaching the Neon Connector Vest adds visibility while complementing reflective detailing on the front, arms, and rear upper ventilation zipper.

Underneath this garment you can wear the REV'IT! Avertum Tech-Air Airbag, provided you choose this garment one size larger than your regular clothing size. If you want to wear a garment marked ‘Suitable for Avertum Tech-Air Airbag System - one size up’, you need to make sure that the garment has enough room for an inflated airbag. Hence, the recommendations below for optimum fit:
Note: Keep in mind that the garment is bought in the right size so that the shoulder and elbow protectors fit properly and provide maximum protection in an accident. To give room for an inflated airbag, remove any loose layers (thermal lining, waterproof lining) that might impede airbag inflation in an accident. Remove (if present) the loose back protector in your clothing; the airbag comes standard with a back protector. Set all adjustment options at the torso (adjustment straps, adjustment straps) to the widest position.
Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
