The Revit Action H2O motorcycle jacket is for the urban rider who wants both sports tech and streetwear wrapped into a CE-certified jacket. Its extra edge to set it apart from the crowd comes from the lines across the chest, shoulders, and sleeves, which have been created with a more angular and aggressive stance. That way it leans more toward fashion because of its street-style vibe. The Power Fuse material on the chest not only provides ventilation but is also woven with an extra reflective thread that reflects when light is shone on it and thus ensures good visibility in the dark.
Giving the Action H2O its aforementioned waterproofing designation is the inclusion of a detachable Hydratex|Mesh G-liner construction. Take it out on warmer days so the fully ventilated outer shell can allow air to flow toward your body. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
