The Component 2 H2O jacket is the pinnacle product in the Rev'it DIRT series collection. It’s the go-to jacket for the off-road rider that needs a lightweight, comfortable, and waterproof garment for all adventures on the trails.
The hard shell body of the jacket is constructed with a comfortable yet flexible waterproof stretch ripstop fabric. Rugged Cordura® ripstop fabric is used at the shoulders and arms for increased abrasion resistance and durability.
Seesmart CE-level 1 protectors provide protection to the rider at the shoulders and elbows. That said, its armor can also easily be upgraded by wearing the Proteus protector jacket under the Revit Component 2 H2O. In higher temperatures, airflow is created by opening the ventilation zippers at the lower and upper arms. The zippers of the front and rear pockets allow warm air to escape from the jacket and offer plenty of storage options to bring along all the items needed for the journey. The detachable hood will keep the rider dry off the bike and can be stored in the back pocket when taken off and not in use.

*A waterproof membrane does not mean unlimited waterproof. The waterproofness depends on the quality of the membrane. Are you looking for 100% waterproof? Then select a motorcycle jacket with GoreTex membrane.

Underneath this garment you can wear the REV'IT! Avertum Tech-Air Airbag, provided you choose this garment one size larger than your regular clothing size. If you want to wear a garment marked ‘Suitable for Avertum Tech-Air Airbag System - one size up’, you need to make sure that the garment has enough room for an inflated airbag. Hence, the recommendations below for optimum fit:
Note: Keep in mind that the garment is bought in the right size so that the shoulder and elbow protectors fit properly and provide maximum protection in an accident. To give room for an inflated airbag, remove any loose layers (thermal lining, waterproof lining) that might impede airbag inflation in an accident. Remove (if present) the loose back protector in your clothing; the airbag comes standard with a back protector. Set all adjustment options at the torso (adjustment straps, adjustment straps) to the widest position.
Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
