The Modeka Tourex Kids II is a budget-friendly entry-level model for children who like to ride along. And they can even grow a little!
The Tourex II short textile jacket is water-resistant and comes standard with a breathable mesh lining that prevents perspiration. The non-removable, water- and windproof HITEX membrane offer comfort in any weather conditions. Ventilation openings on the chest and back (Air Vent) allow wind to pass through.
Approved CE protectors on the shoulders and elbows make this an extremely safe motorcycle jacket. Optionally, a CE-approved SAS-TEC back protector can be placed. The motorcycle jacket can be combined with the Tourex II Kids pants of the same name thanks to a connection zipper.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
