The Modeka Panamericana II Lady are a real all-rounder among motorcycle trousers! Perfect for the needs of Adventure and Touring motorcyclists. The pants have CE Level 1 hip and CE Level 2 knee protection included. The combination of wear-resistant materials and this protection results in extremely robust motorcycle trousers for women. And also multifunctional, thanks to the removable waterproof* Sympatex membrane. The thermal inner lining is also removable, and the Panamericana II is equipped with ventilation zippers on the thighs for the necessary cooling.

How waterproof is this item?

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.

Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.

In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
