The MACNA Tazar 2.0 jacket is a sporty 2-layer design made for sports and naked bike riders. It has a fixed Raintex Plus membrane to help keep you dry.
The removable thermal liner gives warmth and the liner zips out easily as temperatures rise. The membrane has slightly stretch for more freedom of movement. Easy Cuff™ connects inner layers at the wrist with a small zip to stop loose layers and prevent your hands getting trapped when you pull the jacket on. The Belt Loop™ runs from the collar to the lower back so you can attach the jacket to your jean belt and keep it in place. The Electric Power Guide™ routing lets you run a heated glove cable through the jacket without bulges. RISC™ impact protectors are fitted at shoulders and elbows. A RISC™ back protector is available separately and can be placed in the prepared pocket.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
