The Macna Bastic motorcycle jacket is a modern bomber-style jacket built for urban riders who want practicality, protection and comfort in every weather condition. Thanks to its fixed Raintex waterproof membrane and detachable thermal liner, the Bastic adapts smoothly from cold commutes to mild-weather rides.
Ventilation is available when temperatures rise: the jacket features ventilation zips on the upper arms, an air outlet at the back, and Macna’s innovative Summer Comfort System™ – a mesh strip behind the main zipper that increases airflow while maintaining a sleek look.
Convenience is a major focus. You get a Phone Pocket, Sunglasses Holder, Zip Grip™ for easy zipping with gloves, plus the practical Coat Hanger Lite™ for durable hanging. Night Eye™ reflective panels are positioned around the back and sides to improve visibility after dark. Macna’s Belt Loop™ prevents the jacket from riding up during movement or an incident.
In terms of safety, the Bastic comes equipped with RISC™ CE Level 1 protectors at the shoulders and elbows and is prepared for a RISC™ back protector. The outer shell uses durable Sturdix material combined with a clean, urban silhouette.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
