The LS2 Breakout Trousers combine adaptable weather protection, practical ventilation and CE certified protection in a versatile pair of textile motorcycle trousers.
The outer shell combines 6 mm Dural Ripstop fabric, Trilobond, 4 way stretch elastic fabric and Dobly Air 3D mesh fabric. Inside, a removable thermal liner helps provide extra warmth when needed. The detachable LS2 Sheltex Plus waterproof* membrane can be worn over or underneath the trousers. With a waterproofness rating of 15,000 mm H₂O and breathability of 12,000 g/m²/24hrs, the membrane is designed for changing weather conditions.
For warmer conditions, two detachable thigh pockets provide maximum airflow. A stretch crotch panel and anti slip seat patch add comfort and stability on the motorcycle.
Protection comes from removable CE Level 2 knee protectors, which can be adjusted between three positions. Removable CE Level 1 hip protectors are also included. The trousers themselves are certified to EN 17092:2020 Class AA.
An adjustable waist, lower leg adjustments and tapered lower leg design help you fine tune the fit. Two waterproof hand pockets, two side thigh pockets and a YKK jacket connection zip complete the design.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
