The Kriega OS-42 Soft Pannier, also known as an Overlander pannier, is the largest pannier within the Kriega OS-Soft Pannier range, giving you an impressive 42 litres of structured storage for long-distance adventure travel. Its box-shaped construction makes packing and load control straightforward, while the flexibility of soft luggage makes it better suited to rough terrain where contact with the environment is part of the journey.
Built from premium, abrasion-resistant Hypalon and 1000D CORDURA®, the OS-42 is reinforced with heavy-duty webbing and aircraft-grade aluminium hooks. The Drypack roll-top closure and removable waterproof* liner with taped seams provide a strong barrier against rain and other elements, helping keep your gear protected on extended trips.
Mounting is quick and secure when used with the OS-Platform. Quick-release straps and buckles attach the pannier in less than a minute, while the same straps compress the load firmly against the platform without additional tie-downs.
With 16 heavy-duty hook-on points, the OS-42 also forms the base of a modular luggage system. Add 6 or 12-litre OS-Adventure Packs and/or an OS-Bottle to the top, front or rear, while OS-Cam Straps and OS-Mini Cam Straps provide additional options for carrying bulky or awkwardly shaped items. A reinforced carry handle makes it easier to move heavy loads off the bike, while the optional OS-Shoulder Strap converts the pannier into a shoulder bag.
Security is also built in, with an integrated security cable block providing a solid attachment point for locking the pannier to the motorcycle frame. Use it with a cable lock or Steelcore Security Strap for an added deterrent against opportunist theft.

Waterproof construction
Bags labeled as waterproof are generally made from materials that don't allow water to pass through, such as heavily coated textiles or tarpaulin-like fabrics. In addition, seams are often welded or sealed to minimize water penetration. This construction ensures that rain and splashing water stays out effectively, even during heavy downpours.
Waterproof inner compartment
For bags with a waterproof compartment, the exterior is usually made from water-repellent or partially water-resistant material. This outer layer may absorb water during prolonged or heavy rain. The main difference lies on the inside: the main compartment is often equipped with a waterproof liner or inner bag that protects your belongings against moisture.
Good to know: Although many types of motorcycle luggage provide excellent protection against rain, no product is completely and indefinitely waterproof.
