Thanks to a 3-layer construction, the Dainese Springbok can be adapted depending on the weather conditions, from a summer vented jacket to a wind and waterproof motorcycle jacket, ready for the harshest conditions.
The Dainese Springbok has an outer layer made of abrasion-resistant, stretching Mugello and Duratex textile material and reinforced with suede panels on shoulders and elbows. The Springbok can be adapted to almost any weather condition. Stripped of both liners, the Springbok is a true summer outfit, with large panels that can be opened for optimal ventilation. Waterproof by replacing the ABSØLUTESHELL waterproof liner. In order to defy the cold in addition to the rain, a thermal lining can be placed, which in the case of the jacket can also be worn separately as a separate jacket.
Numerous storage compartments give you more than enough space in the Springbok to carry all your gear for your next adventure. With a special waterproof outer pocket, your phone is always at hand, without having to worry about water damage.
The Dainese Springbok motorcycle jacket offers the highest degree of protection. The shoulders and elbows are equipped with Dainese Pro-Armor CE-Level 2 protectors. Optional protectors are the G-Type back and chest protectors.
The Springbok is equipped with the Dainese Magic Connection® system. This allows gloves such as the Karakum Ergo-Tek Magic Connection® with a magnetic system to be attached to the sleeves of the jacket when you do not need them, for example during a fuel stop.
The Springbok motorcycle jacket uses the Dainese ABSØLUTE SHELL membrane, which guarantees waterproofness* in combination with the highest breathability.

* A waterproof or waterproof membrane does not mean unlimited waterproof. The watertightness depends on the quality of the membrane. Are you looking for 100% waterproof? Then select a motorcycle jacket with GoreTex membrane.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
