Quality materials meet fashionable style in the Dainese Duomo Absøluteshell™ Pro Parka, featuring the classic long cut of military parkas and designed to meet the demands of year-round urban riding in all weather conditions. Featuring a hood and fishtail hem, this jacket is made of Absoluteshell Pro laminated waterproof* membrane, which allows the garment to dry quickly and to protect against even the coldest temperatures. Thermal comfort is further enhanced by the inclusion of a detachable thermal wadding layer that can also be worn separately if needed.
High levels of comfort and functionality are matched by equally high protection standards, owing to solutions such as the detachable Pro-Armor L1-certified protectors on shoulders and elbows – soft protectors with large ventilated surfaces that also boost thermal comfort. The jacket also features a pocket designed to accommodate G1 and G2 back protectors (sold separately).
The Duomo parka boasts a detachable padded collar and a hood with an internal metal core that allows to tighten it around the face, creating a peak that protects against atmospheric agents (Uno Touch™ Hood Peak) – with just one hand.The lower pockets are waterproof and lined.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
