The Alpinestars Tech-Air® 5 Plasma Airbag System is a groundbreaking innovation in motorcycle safety, offering riders premium upper body protection in a discreet, lightweight design. Built on Alpinestars’ world-leading airbag technology, the Plasma is designed to be worn seamlessly under any motorcycle jacket, creating an “invisible under the jacket” fit that enhances freedom of movement without compromising safety.

Weighing only 1530 grams, the Tech-Air® 5 Plasma is 25% lighter than its predecessor, while providing advanced coverage for the chest, ribs, back, and shoulders. The integrated Nucleon Plasma back protector ensures impact absorption, while the ultra-thin mono-layer stretch mesh construction improves breathability and comfort, even on long rides.

The system features three adaptive riding modes – Street, Adventure, and Race – that riders can easily select via LED interface. Equipped with a long-lasting battery delivering up to 30 hours of riding time, the Plasma is designed for extended use, whether on road, off-road, or on the track. Its modular design makes it user-friendly, with a quick-release inflator cover and replaceable gas canisters.

The latest evolution of the Tech-Air® 5 PLASMA wearable technology features a more compact and complete active electronic system that includes 6 sensors (2 tri-axial sensors, 1 tri-axial accelerometer, and 1 tri-axial gyroscope located on the main electronic control unit). The System leverages AI to accurately monitor when to deploy the airbag in the event of a crash.

System Activation
The System is also extremely easy to use; just zip up the vest and close the magnetic flap, and you’re ready to ride. The LED Display will visually indicate the System’s operational status complemented by a haptic vibration alert to notify the rider that the System is armed.

The Tech-Air® 5 PLASMA includes a certified lithium-ion battery that provides 30 hours of riding time. A conveniently placed USB-C charging port on the LED Display allows for easy recharging.
