The Alpinestars Stella Andes V4 Drystar® women's jacket is built for riders who demand performance, protection, and versatility in all conditions. Designed with Alpinestars’ exclusive Drystar® membrane, it offers waterproofing* while remaining breathable, keeping you dry and comfortable on every ride.
Constructed from durable 450D polyfabric combined with ripstop reinforcements, the Andes V4 offers excellent abrasion resistance, while large stretch softshell panels ensure mobility and freedom of movement. CE Level 1 Nucleon Flex Plus protectors are included for the shoulders and elbows, with compartments for optional chest and back upgrades. For even greater safety, the jacket is Tech-Air® Ready, making it compatible with Alpinestars’ advanced airbag system.
Comfort is a key focus: a removable long-sleeve thermal liner adapts to cold-weather rides, while extended direct ventilation panels on the chest and back provide optimal airflow when temperatures rise. The ergonomic fit is fully adjustable with waist, arm, and wrist straps, along with a drawstring collar. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
