The Alpinestars C-7 Drystar XF motorcycle jacket combines premium urban styling with the weather protection and functionality you need for commuting and daily riding. Its 3-layer laminated stretch Drystar XF construction delivers a waterproof* and breathable outer shell, with a water column of over 15,000 mm and breathability exceeding 15,000 g/m².
For changing temperatures, the detachable Primaloft Black thermal vest provides an additional layer of insulation without compromising the jacket’s clean profile. A warm collar adds further comfort, while the regular fit, waist adjustment and adjustable cuffs let you fine-tune the fit over your clothing. The extended length is also suitable for wearing over a business suit, making the C-7 particularly well suited to urban commuting.
Practical details are integrated throughout, including a dedicated keyless/Telepass pocket, magnetic lower fastening and an integrated hood with a magnetic stabiliser and folding system. Reflective details improve visibility in low-light conditions, while the stretch outer shell supports freedom of movement.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
Choose a Level 1 or Level 2 back protector. Level 2 has a higher impact value than Level 1.
