Premium laminated adventure trousers with waterproofing*, CE protection and four-season versatility. Built for serious touring/adventure performance in extreme conditions.
The Alpinestars Andes Pro Drystar XF motorcycle trousers are built for serious adventure and touring riders who demand uncompromising performance in extreme weather. These motorcycle trousers combine laminated waterproof* technology, premium protection and long-distance comfort in one advanced package.
At the core of the construction sits a 3-layer stretch laminated Drystar®XF outer shell. Unlike drop-liner systems, this laminated build keeps water out at the outer surface, preventing the fabric from soaking through. With a 15,000 mm waterproof* rating and 15,000 g/m²/24h breathability rating, you remain dry in heavy rain while excess heat and moisture escape efficiently. This makes the trousers ideal for year-round touring and demanding adventure rides.
Protection meets CE AA certification standards. Nucleon Flex Pro CE Level 2 knee armour delivers advanced impact absorption, while Bioflex Level 1 hip protectors add additional coverage without restricting movement. Reinforced goat leather panels on the inner leg improve durability and grip against the bike, and dobby fabric at the lower leg enhances abrasion resistance.
Comfort is equally impressive. The full-stretch chassis enhances freedom of movement both on and off the bike, reducing fatigue during long-distance rides. Strategically positioned direct ventilation openings allow you to regulate airflow in warmer conditions, while the removable thermal liner (120g seat to upper knee, 80g lower leg) provides reliable insulation when temperatures drop. A magnetic waist buckle ensures secure closure, waterproof zippered pockets keep essentials protected, and the jacket-to-trouser connection zip guarantees a stable, integrated fit during aggressive riding.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
