They are waterproof thanks to the breathable Hydratex membrane. Not unlimited but surely for half an hour. Next to this membrane, protection parts at the ankle, heel, and toe keep your feet shielded, while the use of accordion stretch panels at the front and back provide extra freedom of movement while riding or walking.
The grip on any other surface is made possible thanks to the durable rubber sole. Inside the boot, the OrthoLite® insole provides all-day comfort on and off the bike. Additionally, the zipper and a hook-and-loop closure flap that runs alongside the Flux H2O motorcycle boots allow you to easily slip into them or take them off at the beginning or end of your day.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
