Overgloves are worn over your regular motorcycle gloves to keep them dry in the rain. They are made from waterproof material and provide an additional protective layer against the elements. They're a practical option if you don't have separate waterproof or GORE-TEX motorcycle gloves.
Overgloves are particularly useful when you're caught in unexpected heavy rain and your motorcycle gloves aren't waterproof. Simply pull them over your gloves and remove them again once the rain has passed, helping to keep your regular gloves dry. This helps prevent wet, cold hands while riding.
They will keep your hands dry during a rain shower, but no solution is completely and indefinitely waterproof during prolonged, heavy rain. Overgloves are primarily designed as a quick, compact backup that's easy to carry with you. If you regularly ride in the rain, waterproof motorcycle gloves are a more comfortable alternative.
Overgloves are available in several designs, including models with separate fingers, three-finger designs and full mittens. Because they pack down compactly, they're easy to store in your bag or tank bag, so you can always keep them within reach.
