Motorcycle suit

One-piece motorcycle suits are usually worn by sporty riders. Everyone wears a durable leather motorcycle suit on the track, but nowadays we also see a lot more leather motorcycle suits worn on public roads. The safest option is a leather one-piece, followed by a leather two-piece; you can easily zip the jacket to the pants.

In addition to leather one-piece suits, there are also complete textile motorcycle suits available. These textile motorcycle one-piece suits offer excellent protection while riding a motorbike. Naturally, leather has a tighter fit than textile, this makes a leather suit the safest choice for sporty riders.

Motorcycle race suits from Dainese, Alpinestars and REV'IT!

All popular motorcycle clothing brands design motorcycle suits. Dainese, Alpinestars and REV'IT! have a wide range of sporty motorcycle suits. Dainese, Alpinestars and REV'IT! offer one-piece and two-piece motorcycle suits. Do you take your motorbike to the track? Then we recommend choosing a one-piece motorcycle suit. On public roads it's easier to wear a two-piece motorcycle suit, as you can easily unzip and take the jacket off during a well-deserved break.

The Dainese, Alpinestars and REV'IT! motorcycle suits offer the very best protection for motorbike riders. Motorcycle suits are equipped with elbow, shoulder, knee and hip protection. Back protectors are often optional but we always recommended to add one. There are some differences between the Dainese, Alpinestars and REV'IT! suits. You'll find all measurements, functionalities and features in the product information of the suits. But we advise to try them on to find the right fit for you.

Leather motorcycle suits for sporty riders

Almost all motorcycle suits are made of leather. A leather motorcycle suit is durable and offers the best protection for riders. You'll mostly see track- and other sporty riders wearing a leather motorcycle suit. It's often also a requirement of the track. A leather motorcycle suit has a tight and stiff fit. When you're standing or walking, a leather motorcycle suit should not be very comfortable. This is because the suits are made for the position you have on a motorbike. When you're on a motorcycle the motorcycle one- or two piece will fit like a glove. We always advise to sit on a motorcycle when you're trying on leather motorcycle suits.

You should not wear leather motorcycle suits over your normal clothing. They are made to be worn over thin motorcycle underwear or over a fitted thermal suit. Putting on and taking off a leather motorcycle suit is also much easier when you wear tight underwear.

Motorcycle suit with an airbag

Brands such as Rev'it, Alpinestars and Dainese offer various motorcycle suits with an (optional) airbag system. A motorcycle suit with an airbag system provides even better safety for motorcyclists. The protection an airbag system offers, is equivalent to the protection of several back protectors. Thanks to lightning-fast sensors, the airbag is able to inflate at the exact right moment. This ensures that your upper body is optimally protected. Some motorcycle suits can be worn with a separate airbag, while other models are equipped with a fully integrated airbag system.
