A 2in1 waterproof jacket, that hides its many features of a motorcycle jacket well
The Modeka Jakson motorbike jacket is made of abrasion-resistant 450D polyester and softshell outer fabric with stretch sections for enhanced comfort. For improved abrasion resistance, the Jakson jacket has dual material on crash zones. The removable Humax® membrane offers versatility and waterproof* performance in wet weather. Airvent ventilation zips offer cooling on warmer days. Standard equipped with protectors on the shoulders and elbows, the protection can be extended with an optional back protector. The Jakson has a long connection zipper all around and a short connection zipper at the back.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
