The LS2 Narvik touring-adventure jacket blends year-round comfort with dependable protection. Its outer uses 600D/450D Oxford and Ripstop fabrics for durability, backed by a fixed waterproof, breathable membrane (8,000 mm / 5,000 g/m²/24h) to keep out the weather. The removable thermal liner adds warmth on cold days.
Ventilation is easy to manage via a front vent zip, button-closure vent panels and double rear exhausts, while two-way sleeve zips open wide when you need extra airflow. Fit is dialled-in with arm and waist adjusters, and a neoprene collar with side hook lets you secure the collar open.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
