The LS2 Move Ahead Roll Bag 30L is a robust waterproof motorcycle luggage bag made for keeping your essentials protected from the elements. Its 500D tarpaulin outer shell uses high-tenacity yarn and a matt PVC coating, creating a sturdy construction that stands up to regular use on the road.
Both the outer and inner layers feature a high waterproofness rating of 100,000 mm H₂O, while the entire bag is high-frequency welded for a seamless construction. Combined with an IPX5 rating, this helps keep your belongings protected against water from all directions.
The roll-top closure with side-release buckle provides a secure and straightforward way to access your luggage, while the included strap set allows the bag to be mounted securely to your motorcycle. Waterproof construction
Bags labeled as waterproof are generally made from materials that don't allow water to pass through, such as heavily coated textiles or tarpaulin-like fabrics. In addition, seams are often welded or sealed to minimize water penetration. This construction ensures that rain and splashing water stays out effectively, even during heavy downpours.
Waterproof inner compartment
For bags with a waterproof compartment, the exterior is usually made from water-repellent or partially water-resistant material. This outer layer may absorb water during prolonged or heavy rain. The main difference lies on the inside: the main compartment is often equipped with a waterproof liner or inner bag that protects your belongings against moisture.
Good to know: Although many types of motorcycle luggage provide excellent protection against rain, no product is completely and indefinitely waterproof.
