The iXS Lorin-ST is a textile motorcycle jacket built for comfortable touring across changing weather conditions. Its 450D polyester outer construction combines with a solto-TEX® 2-layer Z-Liner membrane* to help keep rain out while allowing moisture vapour to escape, while the removable thermal lining lets you adjust insulation as temperatures change.
When conditions warm up, six ventilation openings and a two-way cuff zip help increase airflow. The breathable mesh lining with water barrier also supports a more comfortable body climate during longer rides. For a secure, personalised fit, you can adjust the upper arms, elbows, cuffs, waist and hem. A comfort arm closure makes it easier to get your gloves on without compromising the sleeve fit.
Protection comes from level 1 shoulder and elbow protectors, with height-adjustable elbow protectors for a more precise position. The jacket is tested according to EN 17092-4:2020, Class A, and includes a pocket for an optional level 2 back protector (sold seperately).
Practical details complete the Lorin-ST, including three outer pockets, two inner pockets, a Napoleon pocket, reflective transfer prints and an all-round connecting zip for pairing with compatible motorcycle trousers.

Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
