The adventures Pol Tarrés gets into tend to be extreme. In terms altitude, the cold, and certainly in the heat of the desert – racing the Africa Eco Race at the knife edge. Using Pol’s vast experience in going full-send as input, Revit designed the fully ventilated Africa jacket. Puristic, straight forward, and ready to tackle the hottest of adventures.
Refined yet rugged ballistic mesh meets crucial zones with laser-cut ventilation. Based on comments from Pol, up to 70% of the jacket is made to breathe in fresh air. All to allow for a rally-ready, breathable construction, as well as having super stretchy soft shell and hard-wearing ripstop fabric where it needs to be. A carefully assembled mix of materials that assures you’re kept cool when adventure heats up. To maintain focus and to keep it pinned for longer.
In terms of style, you’re looking at bright red, purposeful looking ripstop and a clear, dark camo print incorporated into the mesh panelling. Meanwhile the jacket is decked out in only the necessary pockets, with a pair above the hips and a chest pocket – with a goggle wipe – up front and one at the lower back. Plus, a practical inner jacket pocket to keep your personals in board.
On the technical side of things, the Revit Africa motorcycle jacket provides CE-level 1 SEESMART impact protection. Thin but effective, the elbow and shoulder guards offer comfort on any ride. If you want to wear a garment marked ‘Suitable for Avertum Tech-Air Airbag System - one size up’, you need to make sure that the garment has enough room for an inflated airbag. Hence, the recommendations below for optimum fit:
Note: Keep in mind that the garment is bought in the right size so that the shoulder and elbow protectors fit properly and provide maximum protection in an accident. To give room for an inflated airbag, remove any loose layers (thermal lining, waterproof lining) that might impede airbag inflation in an accident. Remove (if present) the loose back protector in your clothing; the airbag comes standard with a back protector. Set all adjustment options at the torso (adjustment straps, adjustment straps) to the widest position.
