The design of the Alpinestars Morush WP Parka is inspired by the streetwear world and infused with elements of motorcycling DNA from the Moto Streetwear Equipment (MO.ST.EQ.) Collection. Strongly influenced by contemporary and minimalist luxury sports, the Morush has an ergonomic and essential design that is all about modern utility.
Crafted from durable, Waterproof* laminated fabric, the Morush WP Parka features a seam-sealed interior and a waterproof front zipper to keep you dry in any weather. Its stormproof hood with drawstring adjusters and snap button system ensures a secure fit, while the detachable thermal liner with 100g body insulation and 80g sleeve insulation offers versatile warmth.
For top-notch protection, the jacket includes Nucleon Flex Plus CE Level 1 rated shoulder and elbow protectors, providing superior impact resistance while maintaining flexibility and breathability. The interior mesh tricot liner is designed for additional back and chest protectors, available as an accessory upgrade.
Comfort is paramount with a regular fit and raglan sleeves for ease of movement. The extended back cut provides better coverage in the riding position, and the sleeve volume adjusters enhance fit. Large double-access front pockets—one zippered and one with a hidden snap button closure—offer convenient storage. Motorcycle gear comes in various levels of waterproofness, which is important for comfort and safety during wet rides. Most waterproof jackets, pants, gloves, and footwear have a membrane that prevents water from penetrating the outer layer. These products keep you dry, but there's a limit to how much they can penetrate. A waterproof membrane doesn't mean 100% waterproof. With prolonged exposure to rain or under high pressure, the outer layer can still let moisture through. This means you could get wet after longer rides in heavy rain, especially in areas where the fabric moves intensively or where seams are less well-protected.
Looking for 100% waterproof? Then choose a product with a Gore-Tex membrane. Gore-Tex is a specially designed membrane that is both waterproof and breathable. The membrane contains microscopic pores that are too small for water droplets to penetrate, but large enough to allow water vapor (sweat) to escape. This keeps rain and spray out, while your body heat and moisture are wicking away. You will ride dry and comfortable, even in prolonged or heavy rain.
In short: regular waterproof motorcycle clothing keeps out short(er) rainshowers, while Gore-Tex effectively protects against prolonged rain and at the same time provides breathable comfort.
